Motherly love

The bar is set higher and higher for awesome African game shots that we are privileged to see.!

Clinging on for dear life to the side of a vertical cliff, the tiny lion cub cries out pitifully for help.

His mother arrives at the edge of the precipice with three other lionesses and a male. The females start to clamber down together but turn back daunted by the sheer drop.

Eventually one single factor determines which of them will risk her life to save the youngster – motherly love.

The drama begins: The mother arrives at the edge of the cliff as her son cries out for rescue after being trapped when he slipped

On the brink: Four lionesses look over the edge before aborting their rescue mission because of the sheer drop

Slowly, agonizingly, the big cat edges her way down towards her terrified son, using her powerful claws to grip the crumbling cliff side.

One slip from her and both animals could end up dead at the bottom of the ravine.

J
ust as the exhausted cub seems about to fall, his mother circles beneath him and he is snatched up in her jaws.

She then begins the equally perilous journey back to the top. Minutes later, they arrive and she gives the frightened little creature a consoling lick on the head.

The dramatic rescue, captured by wildlife photographer Jean-Francois Largot, was played out in Kenya ’s Masai Mara game reserve.

Despite the presence of wardens to deter poachers, day-to-day life for the lions is not without its dangers … as the cub learned the hard way.

Rescue mission: The mother inches her way down the cliff face to rescue the terrified cub before locking him in her jaws and making her way back up the cliff face

Motherly love: The mother gives her son a lick to say that all is well in the pride following the drama

HOW AWESOME IS THIS?

Amazing!!

Amazing archaeological researches in Greece and Saudi Arabia

Sunday, December 23, 2012

According to the archaeological researches in Greece (and Saudi Arabia) it was proven that what we knew as mythical creatures - Giants, actually walked the Earth some time in the distant past.

The archaeologists excavated human skeletons that are about 5m high, some more some less, but it is way above our height today. Of course, thanks to this, lots of questions about their existence emerged, like how it was possible to bi so tall And if the stories about the Giants and the Titans are not just myhts, what if the other mythical creatures were alive to? What would it say about our past? Then, there certainly must be something (or lots of things) we don't know about our past and our origins. Well, maybe one day we found centaur, minotaur, maybe even the pegasus and unicorn, dragon bones One can never know

Mouse Devices Intercept your BRAIN WAVES

Friday, December 21, 2012

Did you know that most computer mouse devices can actually intercept and process YOUR BRAIN WAVES! This is not a joke!

It's VERY serious! We are about to prove it to you! Every computer mouse manufactured after 2005 includes a tiny "Z-CHIP!" This device actually
reads your brain waves and sends them across the Internet. Until now,
computer mouse manufacturers have kept this highly confidential!

Since you are probably familiar with playing cards, we will demonstrate this
with simple cards. HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT A CARD TRICK! IT WOULD BE
IMPOSSIBLE TO RECREATE THIS DEMONSTRATION WITH REAL PLAYING CARDS!

It is VERY IMPORTANT that you follow all of the instructions EXACTLY as
you see them on these web pages! This demonstration will only take about
one minute, and we will then give you the opportunity to share this
extraordinary
site with all of your family, friends, co-workers and associates!

OK, let's get started!

Mentally, select a card and concentrate real hard on it...
Don't click on it though...let's keep this difficult...

Now say your card out loud a few times to help you remember!

After ABSOLUTELY committing the card to memory, Scroll Down.

Please Wait ........
We are now processing your brain waves to identify the card you picked.

Please wait about 5 more seconds and then Scroll Down again!
This demonstration works 99.2% of the time. Will it work on you?

Devices Intercept your BRAIN WAVES"

If your mouse uses a Z-Chip brain wave processor, then we were able to
successfully identify the card that you selected! There's a 99.2% chance
that your card was removed from the original pile! See for yourself!

Now wasn't that unbelievable!!!

Doomsday 2012 Fact Sheet

Mayan Calendar

David Morrison
Director, Carl Sagan Center for the Study of Life in the Universe
NASA Senior Scientist

There is widespread and unnecessary fear of doomsday on December 21, 2012. Some people worry about a Maya prophesy of the end of the world, others fear a variety of astronomical threats such as collision with a rogue planet. Opinion polls suggest that one in ten Americans worry about whether they will survive past Dec 21 of this year, and middle-school teachers everywhere report that many of their students are fearful of a coming apocalypse. Following are brief facts that address these doomsday fears.

Mayan Calendar: The Maya calendar, which is made up different cycles of day counts, does not end this year. Rather, one cycle of 144,000 days (394 years) ends and the next cycle begins.

Mayan Prophecy: The ancient Maya did not predict the end of the world or any disaster in December 2012. Such doomsday predictions are a modern hoax.

Planet Nibiru: Nibiru is probably the minor name of a god found in ancient Mesopotamian writing. There is no planet named Nibiru, and the fictional books by economist Zecharia Sitchin about a civilization on this planet are a hoax.

Rogue Planet Headed for Earth. For the past decade there have been reports of a rogue object (Planet X, or Nibiru, or Hercubolus, or even Comet Elenin) that will collide with Earth in December 2012. These claims are not true. If such a threatening world existed, it would be one of the brightest objects in the sky, and astronomers would have been tracking it for years. If it existed, its gravity would be distorting the orbits of planets, especially Mars and Earth. Astronomers know that it does not exist.

Planet Alignments: There is no alignment of planets in Dec 2012. There is an approximate lining up of the Earth and Sun and the center of our Galaxy in late December, but this happens every year. In any case, planet alignments have no effect on the Earth.

Pole Shift: There is nothing strange this year about either the magnetic poles or the rotational poles of the Earth. The magnetic polarity changes every million years or so, but that is not happening now, and it probably takes thousands of years when it does happen. A sudden change in the rotational axis has never happened and is not possible. If there were any change in the Earth’s rotation, it would be instantly apparent by failure of our GPS systems.

Increasing Disasters. Our planet is behaving normally in 2012, although we see more and more news stories about natural disasters. There has been no increase in earthquakes or volcanic eruptions. There has been an increase in extreme weather, including both droughts and floods, which are partly attributable to global warming, but this has nothing to do with a 2012 doomsday.
solar flare

Solar Outbursts: The Sun’s ongoing 11-year activity cycle is expected to peak in 2013, not 2012. Solar outbursts (flares and CMEs) can damage orbiting satellites but will not hurt us on the surface. The strength of the 2013 solar maximum is predicted to be lower than average, not higher.

Bunker Conspiracy: Accusations of a massive government cover-up are nonsense. No government could hide an incoming planet or silence hundreds of thousands of scientists. Rumors that huge bunkers have been built in the U.S. or elsewhere to shelter the elite are lies. Apparently a few people are building private shelters, but their fear of 2012 is misplaced and they are wasting their money.

Scaring Children: The group most vulnerable to doomsday claims is children. Teachers report that many of their students are frightened and some are even considering suicide. This is the most tragic consequence of the 2012 hoax.

The End of the World: The idea of the sudden end of the world by any cause is absurd. The Earth has been here for more than 4 billion years, and it will be several more billion years before the gradual brightening of the Sun makes our planet unlivable. Meanwhile there is no known astronomical or geological threat that could destroy the Earth.

Cosmophobia: Many young people write to me that they are scared of astronomy. When they read about some new discovery, the first thing they think is that it might hurt them, even if it is happening in a distant galaxy. There is no reason for such fears, which I call cosmophobia (fear of the universe). This rash of concern seems to be the result of too many conspiracy theories and sensational stories featured on the Internet and irresponsible news outlets. Astronomical objects are so distant that they cannot threaten the Earth. Please don't be afraid of the Sun or the planets or comets or asteroids. The universe is not your enemy.

Biochemist creates CO2-eating light that runs on algae

Monday, December 10, 2012

Our atmosphere is filling up with CO2 and we seem to be the major cause of that. The generally accepted solution seems to be cutting back on emissions as quickly as possible, but implementing such cuts is problematic because everyone has to agree to do more, which essentially ends up costing a lot of time and money.

There is an alternative to such measures, though. Instead of relying entirely on cutting emissions, why don’t we start taking CO2 out of the atmosphere? That’s exactly what biochemist Pierre Calleja is trying to do, and his solution almost sounds too good to be true.
Calleja has developed a lighting system that requires no electricity for power. Instead it draws CO2 from the atmosphere and uses it to produce light as well as oxygen as a byproduct. The key ingredient to this eco-friendly light? Algae

Certain types of algae can feed off of organic carbon as well as sunlight, and in the process produce carbohydrate energy for themselves as well as oxygen as a waste product.

Cajella’s lamps consist of algae-filled water along with a light and battery system. During the day the algae produce energy from sunlight that is then stored in the batteries. Then at night the energy is used to power the light. However, as the algae can also produce energy from carbon, sunlight isn’t required for the process to work. That means such lights can be placed where there is no natural light and the air will effectively be cleaned on a daily basis.

What isn’t discussed in the video is how much maintenance such a light needs. However, the good news is algae can also act as a biofuel once separated from the water, so even if the lights need a water change out every so often, the waste algae just forms another type of fuel where as the water can be recycled.

Sun tan Remover Mask – Natural beauty

Beauty doesn’t have to involve expensive creams and make up tricks. In this series, Bhavna shows simple home remedies to really help your body, skin and hair shine.

Suntan Remover Mask

Did you know that skin is the largest organ in your body? Well, with winter season in gear, our skin generally tends to dry out, so today I’m going to show you a quick and easy face mask that will add moisture and glow back into your skin!

Moisturizing Banana Yoghurt Face Mask
You only need three ingredients for this- a half of a ripe banana, half cup of plain yoghurt, and a teaspoon of honey.
  • First, crush the banana in a small bowl getting rid of all lumps. Bananas are amazing because they have vitamin c and antioxidants which help cleanse the skin of free radicals.
  • Once the banana is a paste add the spoon of honey and yoghurt and stir and mix till its smooth. Yoghurt cools the skin, reducing any redness and tightens pores. Honey is a natural antibiotic so it can kill any bacteria in your skin as well as adding moisture.
  • As with any face mask, it’s important to make sure you have a clean face, devoid of make up first.
  • Generously apply the mask to your face and leave on for 5-10 minutes. Use warm water to wash it off. Finally, splash some cold water on your face to close up your pores.

8 Ways for Weight Loss With Yoga

Sunday, December 9, 2012

Yoga as an ancient science has always been about the benefit that it brings to the practitioner. It would only be a dogmatic position that states it is only for spiritual elevation and nothing more. Yoga is a tool that helps the body, mind and spirit. It can be used as needed according to each individual’s requirements. In today’s day and age western society is suffering from an epidemic of obesity. It needs as many healthy long-term approaches to weight loss as possible. The first and most obvious approach that addresses underlying causes is to eat healthy nutrient dense organic foods. Another way is to use the ancient science of yoga. I have seen through my work as a yoga teacher that the two combined will certainly yield amazing results!

Most weight gain is not simply a matter of too many calories taken in for the calories spent. Most weight gain is just symptomatic of serious underlying causes. When each of the eight areas of health listed in this article become out of balance, then these tend to be the major causes weight gain. If the corresponding yoga postures are practiced under the guidance of a good teacher then very quickly the causes can be addressed and the benefits will show. Not only will the excess weight be quickly shed, but health will also be restored.

1. Stimulate the vital force of the liver

The liver has many essential functions. It is an extremely powerful detoxifies and cleanser. It purifies your blood. It processes fats, both good and bad kinds. If the liver is healthy and strong it can dispose of bad fats and put good fats to work for you. It gives you energy by storing the glucose and making co enzyme Q10 that powers your muscles. By doing certain yoga postures you are strengthening the vital force of the liver in profound ways that will bring it to optimum functioning.
The best postures for the liver are mainly back bends:

    Bhujangasana (cobra pose)
    Dhanurasana (bow pose)
    Chakrasana (wheel pose)
    Matsyendrasana (spinal twist)

2. Activate the thyroid gland

The thyroid secretes a hormone that regulates our metabolism. One of the main factors that defines whether we have a high metabolism that burns a lot of fat is whether our thyroid is active or not. Many people who suffer from weight gain have hypothyroidism (“hypo-” meaning low). There are certain postures that help to correct this dysfunction:

    Sarvangasana (shoulder stand)
    Matsyasana (fish pose)

3. Create the right pH balance – Alkalize!

If the body is too acidic (low pH), then the body will attempt to protect itself from the acid by storing fat and using it as a buffer. This is extremely dangerous because the visceral fat (the kind inside the organs and blood vesicles) accumulates within the veins and arteries, narrowing the passage available for the blood and gradually obstructs the activity of the blood vessels. As a result, the heart is forced to overwork just to maintain the blood circulation. If this continues to happen then the heart gets exhausted and a heart attack occurs. This is known as arteriosclerosis. So the pH balance of the body is extremely important. The ideal pH balance is about 7.35. And most people struggling with their weight are too acidic.
Some of the best postures to increase alkalinity are:

    Paschimottanasana (seated forward bend)
    Janushirasana (head to knee pose)

4. Find the right balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system.

A lot of overweight people’s bodies are under an immense amount f stress. Their nervous system is under pressure from lifestyle choices. They often sit at a desk out of the healing sun, under neon lighting. They breathe stale, air-conditioned air instead of fresh, clean, oxygen-rich air.
They stare at a computer screen for hours instead of looking at nature. They often feel rushed to meet deadlines and busy schedules. And if the nervous system is under stress then it will set of a chain reaction in the rest of the body. The body needs to be relaxed and soothed. This requires  finding the right balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. The best yoga postures for this are:

    Savasana (corpse pose)
Viparita Karani (legs up the wall)

5. Activate the internal heat in the nervous system.

There are many people who think that going to a hot yoga class is the best way to loose weight. That is far from the truth. Ancient yogis never heated their caves or hermitage in the Himalayas to 40 degrees just so they could practice asanas in the morning. They created warmth in the body through generating internal heat by creating nerve tension/length. This is the best way. This automatically makes the body feel warmer. This can be achieved by drawing the chin towards the chest in forward bends, thereby lengthening the femoral nerve and the spinal nerves. This heat burns up and purifies visceral (deep) fat and subcutaneous (superficial) fat. The best postures for this are:

    Paschimottanasana (seated forward bend)
    Anjaneyasana (lunge)

In both postures, the head must draw downward actively.

6. Move the body with strength.

Any yoga position that requires you to be active, either as you shorten or lengthen the muscles, will help with weight loss. This is because muscles are active tissue that consume fat as fuel. If you build strong muscles they will be eating your fat stores even when you are resting. That is why strength work is very good for weight loss.
Arm balancing postures are great for this. Even basic arm balancing poses are great because they often engage every muscle, not just the arms or shoulders, but also the abdominal and legs.
Some great postures for this are:

    Bakasana (crane)
    Pincha Mayurasana (feathered peacock)
    Tolasana (scale pose)
    Chaturanga (plank)

7. Get your heart rate up.

Many people think that getting the heart rate up through jogging is a good way to lose weight. Research shows that this is a misconception, and it is not a good way to lose weight at all. It can make a stressed nervous system even more exhausted, and lead to adrenal fatigue. What is much better for weight loss is getting the heart rate up for a very short burst and then dropping it right down, then getting it up and then dropping it down. This can certainly be achieved by an intelligent yoga practice.

Starting in a standing position at the front of your mat, do two slow rounds of Surya Namaskar (sun salutation) and then come back to standing and connect with your heart with palms together and eyes closed for a moment. Then repeat it again, perhaps this time making the pace a little faster. Continue a few rounds like this and you will have your heart rate at an optimum level; without the tiring and jarring effects your body gets from jogging.

8. Cleansing the colon

Many people have food matter blocked up in their colon. This makes them bloated. Severe bloating can appear as obesity. Eventually if left untreated it can poison the blood and leads to disease.

There is a saying that, ‘disease begins in the gut.’ There is certainly some truth to that. Some people who consume a lot of meat or already struggle with a constipated colon should certainly not do any inversions for this reason, because the putrefied blood will rush to the higher organs and it will disturb the mind. Colonic irrigation may be beneficial in those cases. Drinking water free of chemicals like sodium fluoride and chlorine is essential because water will help flush the waste away, but the chemicals dumped into most western public water supplies will kill off good intestinal flora, and therefore should be avoided. Purchasing a good water filter is an excellent idea.

There are many yoga postures, mudras, and bandhas that cleanse the colon. Many are for the advanced practitioner. Some basic ones are:

Utks’epa Mudra (bellow’s pose) to be done first thing in the morning upon waking
    Agnisara Mudra (fire pose)

Some advanced ones are:

    Mayurasana (peacock pose)
    Nauli kriya

All the suggested postures should only be practiced on an empty stomach. They should be used under the guidance of a good yoga teacher. If they are used daily, correctly and consistently, in combination with good food habits, then balance will return to the body and mind and the health of the practitioner will be restored quickly.

Healthy food for weight loose

Friday, December 7, 2012

1.Oatmeal
Eating oatmeal for breakfast will provide your body with high amounts of fiber, which reduces the chance of low blood sugar levels. Starting your day out with whole grain oatmeal will help you to avoid the mid- morning snacking. You will also be getting protein and other vitamins and minerals that help with weight loss.
2.Vegetables
Raw vegetables are a great source of fiber and antioxidants and eating vegetables will fill your stomach without increasing your caloric intake. Eating a variety of vegetables (especially leafy greens) will provide
your body with essential nutrients including calcium, protein, magnesium, iron, potassium, vitamin C, vitamin A, and vitamin B -- just to name a few.

3.Lean Meat
Lean protein is essential on any weight loss diet, and meat is a good source
of protein. Avoid processed meats, and focus on eating natural, organic white meat such as chicken and fish.

4.Whole Grains
Replacing white flour foods with whole grain foods will increase the nutrients that you are getting from your food. Whole grains provide your body with fiber, folic acid, vitamin E, and magnesium, all of which aid in the battle of the belly bulge.

5.Eggs
Increasing your protein intake is an easy way to burn stomach fat, and eggs have a high amount of protein. Eggs also provide your body with other nutrients, such as vitamin B12 which helps to release fat cells.

6.Olive Oil
Healthy fats are an essential part of burning stomach fat, and olive oil
provides your body with the good kind of fat called "monounsaturate d fat."
Drizzle a small amount of olive oil over your vegetables and salad and it will add a great flavor and burn fat at the same time.

6.Nuts
Nuts are another source of good fats, although you need to be careful not to go overboard with your nut consumption because they are high in calories.
Eating nuts will provide you with fat-burning protein as well as fiber, vitamins and minerals.
